Error codes

400 — invalid address or transaction ID. Not billed.
401 — missing or invalid HMAC signature.
402 API_CREDIT_REQUIRED — add a Stripe pack and retry.
404 — known-invalid path or unknown transaction.

Authentication and API Keys

Create an API key in the account. Free can start paying per call.

Add API credits with Stripe, or use the monthly stipend on Pro and Enterprise.

Sign each request and call the endpoint. The response is JSON for that address or transaction ID.

Transparent prices

Every billed endpoint has a published per-call price. The unit price does not change with the plan.

Fast answers

Wallet reads come from indexed mainnet data. Transaction detail decodes a single hash without walking a full history.

Signed requests from your server

Sign with an API key and secret. Keep the secret on your backend. No browser or mobile client.

Prepaid USD credits

Pro includes $2 each month, Enterprise $10. Top up $5, $20, or $50 with Stripe. HTTP 402 when the balance is short.

The call price is the same inside every plan. Pro and Enterprise only add monthly credit.

Does the plan change the per-call price?

No. Overview stays $0.001, transactions $0.002, counterparties $0.003, tx detail $0.002. Plans add monthly credit and watchlist limits.

What happens if credits run out?

The API returns HTTP 402 API_CREDIT_REQUIRED. Add a Stripe pack and retry. The website explorer stays free.

How fast is a call?

Overview, transfers, and counterparties read from the indexed wallet. Transaction detail fetches and decodes one mainnet hash.

A few practical notes

A call is billed only after the address or transaction ID is valid. A typo is not charged. HTTP 402 API_CREDIT_REQUIRED means the USD balance ran out — add a Stripe pack and retry.

Sign on your server with the API secret. Do not put the secret in a browser or a mobile app. Same signing method as Energy and Watchlist.
