Hotbit stopped being an exchange on 22 May 2023. Users were told to withdraw by 21 June 2023.

Hotbit ran a centralized spot book for several years and then shut it. On 22 May 2023 the company said it was stopping operations. It told users to withdraw by 21 June 2023. The reasons it gave included a difficult operating environment and staff it could no longer keep.
